Diggermate Waterford is proud to announce it has been acquired by Brooke Lucas who has taken over all rights to the Waterford mini excavator hire business. He will be in charge of all operations as of January 1, 2020. The speedy transaction occurred for Lucas to acquire the business from Moe Sakoua late in 2019 when Sakoua took the opportunity to return to his family and launch the Diggermate brand in Sydney within the first quarter of 2020.
Get to know Brooke Lucas, the New Diggermate Mini Excavator Hire Waterford Franchisee
Entering the Waterford business, Lucas is well-equipped to take control of the mini excavator and tight access earthmoving company — having been a qualified mechanic for 26 years, a business owner of his own workshop for 13 years and in the construction industry for 7 years. Being a local to the Waterford region for the past 30 years, Lucas identified the opportunity for the business due to the massive residential expansion that the region is currently experiencing through Logan Village, Yarrabilba and surrounding regions. He is excited about servicing trades and DIY’ers renovating properties and completing new builds.
The quick sale transaction was assisted by Lucas having worked alongside Diggermate Founder Mick Watkins previously at the Ormeau and Gold Coast locations recognising “the benefit of being a part of the (Diggermate) group, is massive, I have already used the technology and have seen plenty of the behind the scenes developments that are coming” Lucas explained.
Lucas will take over the business immediately with previous owner Moe Sakoua taking the opportunity to return to his family in Sydney and launch the Diggermate brand. Having already experienced the success and support of the Diggermate group Sakoua is excited to be the first Diggermate business to capture the Sydney market with plans currently being finalised for an official launch as early as possible.
